The largest Back and Feet Awareness Lesson, a Twin Guinness World Record Attempt by Padmashri Rtn. Dr John Ebnezar took Tumkur by storms. Never before a camp of this nature was held in this city. More than 500 patients participated in this event which was held at SIT Auditorium at Tumkur on August 26th 2018 at Birla Auditorium, SIT, and Tumkur. This Campaign was organized by Rotary Bangalore South and supported by 7 other Rotary Clubs of Dist 3190. This was a twin Guinness World Record Attempt conducted for the first time in the World and was organized to create awareness about these problems with a clear message that it is important to save the back and feet by proper care and exercises.
The camp started at 10 am and was assisted by over 50 nurses, paramedics, and volunteers, Rtn. HR Satish, President, and Rotary Bangalore South inaugurated the camp and lauded the efforts of Dr John Ebnezar to create public awareness about back and foot problems. He said for the first time he has seen an orthopedic surgeon conducting these camps for general public at such large scales regularly. After the Awareness Program, 5 Senior Consultants examined the patients and gave suitable advice.
Low back pain and foot pain are a global public health problem and the main reasons are the present day stressful life styles.   An effective answer to this problem still eludes us and expensive and modern treatment methods and surgeries are not an answer for these difficult problems.  He emphasized the value of prevention of back and foot pain by proper education and awareness about healthy life styles and various non-surgical treatment methods which the patients themselves can practice safely at home without visiting a doctor or hospital for treatment. He said his method of Wholistic treatment has emerged as an effective treatment method for these conditions. Seldom does a Medical event get so much public appreciation. Dr John Ebnezar had cast his spell on Tumkur and how!! The unprecedented response to his campaign strengthened his resolve to carry his fight against common orthopedic problems to all corners of the world. After the Camp when the entire mob rose to its feet and gave Dr John Ebnezar a rousing applause it appeared that the entire world had come to halt for a moment to raise its toast to this Good Samaritan who believed in sharing and empowering health education to the common man!!
