3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE GERIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC SOCIETY OF INDIA (R) – Highlights of the conference

The Conference that was held at Le Meridien Hotel, Bangalore from 9th to 11th October was a great success. More than 250 delegates from all over the World and India participated in this Conference. Dr Anand Nanu, President Elect-2017,British Orthopedic Association delivered the Gosicon Oration. Dr John Ebnezar delivered a innovative talk on Orthogeriatrics.

Eminent Faculties from different parts of the participated was a unique session on Passion Show. In this session Orthopedic Surgeons who have passion in crfeative and other non-professional achievements were allowed to present their work. Dr John Ebnezar spoke on his Passion for Music and Dr Roshan spoke on his passion for bikes. This session was very widely appreciated by all the delegates.

Felicitations

Our Conference is just not about Academics, it is recognizing and appreciating the professional and non-professional achievements of our members. This year we felicitated Dr N. Muralidhar, Professor and HOD, Department of Orthopedics, Vydehi Medical Bangalore.

Dr Edward Nazareth, Professor,Father Muller’s Medical College, and Secretary General, Karnataka Orthopedic Association was also felicitated.

The Gala Banquet Night

This was a great hit. Dr John Ebnezar and his Musical band Inspiration Group gave a great performance of retro hindi hits. The audience loved it and craved for more. A team from Bangalore Medical College,”The Dirty Aprons” also gave very interesting and entertaining performance

Post Conference Workshop – Sunday 11th October

​

On Sunday,there was bone model workishop on Unicondylar knee and Total Knee Replacement by Dr Shankar Kashyap from UK and Dr Raj Chakravarthy from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. The workshop was attended by over 40 delegates and was a huge success.
