DR JOHN EBNEZAR’S PATH BREAKING RESEARCH ON THE ROLE OF ADD ON YOGA THERAPY TO PHYSIOTHERAPY ON THE SPINAL CORD INJURIES

After becoming the first researched in the World to try Yoga therapy in trauma, in his work on the role of advanced yoga therapy, the Pranic Energisation Technique in fracture healing and showing that it accelerates fracture healing, Dr John Ebnezar has made another attempt on the role of yoga therapy in Spinal Cord Injuries.

Dr Monali Madhusmita of Orissa undertook at research under his active guidance on the “Role of Yoga Therapy to Physiotherapy in the treatment of Spinal Cord injuries”. Through this Randomised Controlled Trial she showed that the addition of Yoga therapy helped in the treatment of this difficult neurological problem with the patient showing significant progress in their injury.

Recently Dr Monali was awarded a PhD degree for this work with Dr John Ebnezar being the Principal Investigator. She made her presentation at the Svyasa University on Nov 25th 2019. The Co-invesigator was Dr T. Srinivasan,Retd. Prof of IIT,Madras and the Examiner has Dr Mannivanan,another Retd.Prof of IIT Madras. All hailed this work as one of its kind and praised for the bold and innovative approach for a difficult problem.
